My employer has gone overboard with “never-used-before” titles to justify wage increases to women - so we men scaled back our hours in response. I understand a company doesn’t want to be sued for discrimination (real or perceived); the company will understand I value my free time as well, and won’t watch this dead wood collect salary for my endeavors.
It has been quite therapeutic!
They have too much - children, soccer, SUV’s, lawn services, cleaning help, tutors, yoga, latte, and they still don’t feel worth anything. Because they are not productive. They are takers, unskilled, dependent, parasites. And, they know it.
Remember the story of the guy who owned an Auto-Glass shop and would run around at night shooting out windows to drum up business?
There is your explanation of the Left (and the Fed Govt., too!).
Over the holidays I was exposed to a few of these women at a social event. I agree with your point. Many are simply angry about something they can’t even express in words. They lash out a the nearest man; most of whom just take it. While it is a complex situation I am left with the pu$$ification of males (raised by angry mothers) as a significant factor in this mix. That and mixing prescription drugs with white wine.
I disagree; each passing day more and more women who want children can’t find a man willing to give them one, and it is really reinforcing a major problem for them: Many “liberated women”, like women in Red China and North Korea, are now just smaller, weaker men, and they’ll be worked until they die to buy the things they want. I never quite grasped this until I noticed the dynamic between the mothers with whom I work and the childless women; a lot of envy and anger directed at the mothers. Apparently the improved financial position of the cat and dog ranchers wasn’t filling that hole in their lives...
The angriest ones I meet are often childless and/or divorced; their attitudes ensure neither situation will change for the foreseeable future.
They wanted the option to “play man”; now it is necessary for financial reasons (no longer optional) - and the more they attain true equality with men (especially long hours at work), the more they hate it. It worsens as their child-bearing years pass them by; the more they earn, the more they pay for other peoples’ children.
Unlike most women, men enjoy work. It is their identity. They are biologically driven to it. Even digging a ditch or turning a nut on a bolt or hitting a nail with a hammer. Men are the hunters, warriors, and builders.
Women are not. They abandoned their biological roles of breeding, feeding and nurturing. And now they are unhappy with the results.
This is the key to the leftist agenda.
My best guess is “not enough schlonging” because they have been taught to hate men which is a real turn-off.
I completely agree with you; they want the best of both worlds (work/family) and end up with the worst of one, none of the other.
That is exactly how I view it. I belong to some trade groups (finance-related) with forums, and much of the networking seems to be females looking for help in their unearned slots. Needless to say, I offer none; they want to “play office”, let them earn their pay; I won’t do the extra work I’d done in the past anymore so my employer can fend off baseless lawsuits from gender warriors.
Don’t blame you. It’s a completely rational response. What function in Finance do you work in currently? I did FP&A for 4 years and head IRO for the last 3 for another firm. Use to work in Ops before that (pre MBA)
Packaging mortgages for sale as bonds, some accounting. The investment managers and accounting firms can’t get enough foreigners, though plenty of Americans have those skills.
Cool - sounds like an interesting gig.
Thanks - nothing special, but pays the bills.
