The Brits really need to come into the 21st century and start driving on the right side of the road. It would make things so much easier. I’m surprised the EU never mandated it.

How is right-side driving “21st century”?
France runs their trains on the left side, just like the UK, BTW. Union Pacific Railroad still runs trains on the former Chicago & Northwestern Railway on the left as well, rather than change it.
Australia, New Zealand, Japan, Indonesia and India all drive on the left, as do several countries in southeastern Africa.
If the EU ever thinks to mandate anything, I’m automatically against it.
