First event of the new year, prelims at 8 Eastern on Fox Sports One and Fox Sports Go, Main Card at 10.
Jeremy "Little Heathen" Stephens faces Korean knockout artist Doo Ho Choi in the main event.
Major chick fight between Paige VanZant and Jessica-Rose Clark, Clark sadly had her house burgled and her cat mortally wounded by the perps just days ago.
Darren Elkins vs. Michael Johnson
Unfortunately the co-main event, Uriah Hall Vs. Vitor Belfort was called off as Hall....you guessed it, was hospitalized after a failed weight cut. Major problem in the sport.
UFC Ping, let me know if you want on/off the list

News, Middleweight Champ Robert Whittaker (promoted from interim champ after GSP vacated) is out of his Feb 11th UFC 221 tittle defense against former Champ Luke Rockhold after being injured in training. Yoel Romero will face Rockhold for the Interim Belt.
What is a failed weight cut?
Rockhold has his work cut out for him...Romero is a monster.
Actually, this fight night card looks better than that last PPV card featuring the Cyborg/Holms fight. Picks later.
Failed weight cut likely means that, to make weight, Uriah Hall tried to drop too much weight close to fight time and suffered severe dehydration.
My choices:
Stephens
Clark
Usman (never heard of Meek until yesterday)
Johnson - Should be an excellent fight
“The” James Krause
Frevola
Romero versus Rockhold should be really interesting.
Supposedly, Hall fainted on his way to the scales for the weigh-in and most likely had a seizure. This can happen when a fighter tries to dehydrate too much to make weight rather than losing weight safely during camp and only cutting a small final amount through dehydration at the very end. It throws off the electrolytes and there’s risk of lingering damage, physically and mentally.
He’ll spend another day in the hospital for monitoring and tests. I hope he comes through it okay.
I would agree with your picks and Ill make them mine EXCEPT Im going out on a limb and taking Choi in the feature bout.
I would definitely be pissed if someone killed my cat, so I give Clark the Lets win one for Muffy advantage.
He will likely be ok, youth does have its advantages.
Chael Sonnen vs. Rampage Jackson promoted to Bellator 192 main event
Just a week away from Bellator 192 in Inglewood, California, Douglas Lima vs. Rory MacDonald has lost its status as the headlining fight.
Bellator president Scott Coker confirmed on Friday that the new main event is an opening round heavyweight Grand Prix bout between Quinton Jackson and Chael Sonnen. In other words, the main event is a three-rounder, while the co-main is the five-round title fight.
Both Rampage and Chael are longtime MMA stars whove each headlined multiple UFC PPV blockbusters, something that cant be said for either Lima or MacDonald, so thats presumably the reason behind this decision. Bellator spokesperson C.J. Tuttle told MMA Fighting that the promotion is considering it a double main event along with Lima vs. MacDonald.
MacDonald fought for the UFC title, I’m pretty sure. That’s headlining, no?
No, he never fought for the title but was part of a co-main event with Lawler, which he lost in a great fight though. He is also the recipient of a few fight of the night awards.
I think Bellator si just going for big name recognition.
I’ll go with
Choi
Van Z
Usman
Johnson
Krause
Frevola soley because his nickname is the Streamrolla
Clark takes it.
Bit of a diss for the title fight. But more peeps are probably interested in Sonnen/Rampage.
Night night Mr. Choi!
