A reportedly drunken golf cart ride New Year’s Eve in Fairfield sent one elderly man to jail and his two companions to local hospitals.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the crash occurred just shy of 10:30 p.m. at the Green Valley Country Club.
Dino Glennon Forristall, 65, of Pinole, was driving the cart and Christine Forristall, 63, also of Pinole, and Sherri Jeha, 65, of Crocket, were riding with him.
Dino made an unsafe turning movement, officials said, resulting in the cart traveling off a 30-foot embankment.
Dino suffered minor injuries while both passengers suffered major injuries. Officials described those injuries as a broken back, broken arm and cuts.
Jeha was transported to NorthBay Medical Center in Fairfield while Christine Forristall was transported to VacaValley Hospital in Vacaville.
Meanwhile, officials said Dino Forristall showed “objective signs of alcohol intoxication.”
A subsequent DUI analysis revealed he had been driving while intoxicated, officials said. He was booked into Solano County Jail on suspicion of felony DUI.

Dang, I was all set to praise this as a classic nickcarraway thread, but saw a couple people were hurt pretty bad. Sounds like DUI here.
My son was born at North Bay. I have been to Vaca Valley in Vacaville too.

Yes, 20 years. I was at Travis, till I retired in 88. My son was born in 92. Later, I got a clue, and started using my military medical benefits. No co-pay for appointments or for prescription medications. I had co-payments for both at North Bay.
Bet that was bothering Dino when he teed off on 18.
He’ll be cleared as long as he yelled ‘Fore!’ before the crash.
