Cue “Cocaine” song...
Phenomenal guitarist.
I was just diagnosed with bilateral hearing loss...enough to justify hearing aids.A bit scary...but by no means disabling at this point. But I’m told it’s likely to get worse in time.
great genius. But when you are over 70 the clock is at 11:30 pm. Suck it up butter cup.
I have never met anybody who served 20 years in the Navy without any hearing loss.
I wonder if it is from excessive noise exposure or something else.
My son and I went to see Coldplay in August. We noticed that Chris Martin and everyone else in his band wore hearing protection. We were using hearing protection, as well.
I’ve recently learned that I have a condition that can lead to deafness. For now, it will just be monitored.

My parents always said if you listen to that stuff you’ll go deaf.
Standing in front of a double stack of Marshall amps CAN affect your hearing later in life.
My favorite guitarist Joe Bonnamassa - who idolizes Clapton - now wears hearing protection while playing and uses small vintage-style Fender amps set behind a plexiglass barrier and miked through a PA system to get his sound out there. Good idea!
.....growing up, my Grandmother played all sorts of piano. It was nothing for her to go into a restaurant and after a meal play a few songs ( if invited)
and get a round of applause..*smiles* I know later on in her life how much she missed playing after arthritis crippled her hands.
I saw Eric , Phil Colins , and Robert Cray at a small venue in 1988 , I think . I was in the second row and it was a blues fan dream .
I read an article on MSN this morning where he was apologizing for his racist past. I didn’t have time to post it and it’s a pain in the butt trying to do it from my phone.
Very interesting side of him I never heard of before.
Saw EC four times in his prime 1977 - 1985 in So Cal back when Carl Radel (before he died) and Yvonne Elliman we’re with the band. Seems like Duck Dunn was on one tour as well.
