I am posting this partly because I think it's being downplayed.
The OP says due to disruptive passenger. At the following CBS link, American Airlines said disruptive passenger and the responding FBI said it was medical reason. http://6abc.com/travel/london-bound-plane-diverted-to-phl-due-to-medical-incident/2929855/
It sounds like someone’s medication over-reacted and they became disruptive on the flight. You are correct...the airline is being very quiet over what the passenger did to cause this.
One Brit witness did comment that this was a woman, and she was jumping over seats and yelling at passengers....scaring them to a great extent. The witness also said the crew did try to sedate the woman, and it had absolutely no reaction on the woman.
The airline had the passengers picked up at the airport and taken to a local hotel, and would restart the flight after crew-rest.
They were halfway there. Last I heard zip-ties were in fashion. She would be raving regardless of which direction they went.
Were they from a s***hole country?
:\
I always believe everything the FBI says. NOT. I dont imagine she was yelling things in Arabic, was she?
I dont think they are down playing it, I think giving us a story that sounds better than whatever actually happened out there.
Blanket party...
Ive taken to carrying a couple of HVAC flex duct straps in my carrryon backpack. Think large economy sized zip ties about 3/8 wide by 1/16 deep by 3 long. You arent breaking one using muscle.
rofl!!!
Me too. Ya never know what you might need.
That’s really thinking ahead. Thanks for the idea.
I keep a couple yards of duct tape wrapped around a Sharpie in there as well.
And further, they don’t weigh anything. The just sort of wrap around one of the large compartments of the bag and disappear.
