Just looked and KB4056894 has been installed

Hm.

https://www.windowslatest.com/2018/01/09/windows-10-kb4056892-and-windows-7-kb4056894-pulled/

None of the KB40568** updates have been installed to any of my fully updated AMD computers. However, none of them are running Win 7.

So maybe Win 7 is different, or maybe Microsoft in Japan didn't get the memo to stop pushing the updates.

You can still follow the procedure at the link in #22 and try to "hide" KB4056894. Unfortunately you have to change Windows settings so updates are not installed automatically, then uninstall the update, then run Windows update again, then locate KB4056894 in the downloaded-but-not-installed updates, right click the update, and select "Hide update."

Was able to uninstall it w/o any problems . Update off auto .

Still have to figure out why I can’t open Windows Update of my upstairs Dell . Get white screen with spinning green wheel which freezes for a few minutes before I can close it . Called Dell support in China and they did a remote scan / check etc. and got it to work while I was on the phone with them but next time I went to open Windows Update the problem returned .
