Start/All Programs/Accessories/System Tools/System Restore/choose a date before you started the updates/DO NOT TURN OFF THE COMPUTER DURING THE RESTORE - IT MAY TAKE SOME TIME.
I restored to Jan. 7 but it didn’t fix the problem . Damn .
Wild . My wife remembered years ago when we had trouble with not being able to connect to internet network , that on occasion we were advised to do a - i guess what would be called a hard boot , meaning we would unplug the PC , let it sit for a while , plug it in again , and all would be OK . She suggested we try that . I said , what the heck nothing to lose . It worked . We’re re-connected to the net and so far no BSOD . Don’t have a clue why this would work but it did .
