I will say, yes, I wanted GEORGIA to win. And the reality is that Nick Saban had little choice BUT to pull his starting QB since what he was doing was not working. Yet, I think that when viewed through the lens of football history, Saban’s decision to pull Jaylen Hurts will be seen as, as BOLD as General MacArthur’s landing at Inchon!

Well it’s not so much that it was amazing he pulled Hurts out of the game, but more that having done so the entire offense was ready to run a completely different set of plays for a QB with a completely different skill set. Tua Tagoetcetera certainly made some mistakes, but it was impressive how ready he was and clearly he was able to exploit weaknesses in the Georgia secondary that Hurts could not.
