Well, that doesn’t mean we should stop trying to understand it. It’s not a very good analogy really.

The point I had in mind (but failed to make clear) is that Pfizer's in business to make money.If they decided that the chances of success didn't justify the expenses involved then it probably made sense for them to pull out.

I wasn't suggesting that such things shouldn't be investigated by *anybody*.
