Looks like a brindle pit bull to me, but I admit that nearly any mix of pit bull can look like one...or act like one.
I read this on another thread and something doesn’t sound right. To start with, those aren’t pit bulls IMO. They look more like Catahoula Leopard Hounds to me. They can be vicious hog and bear dogs but I have never heard of one attacking and killing a person. I had two that were crossed with Rottweiler as hog/bear dogs. We had them as farm protection dogs. They never, ever made any aggressive moves at us but could kill a wild hog, especially working as a team. It makes me wonder if something else attacked her and the dogs attacked it. My dogs would have died protecting me.
BTW, I won’t have Pitts or German Shepard’s. If I thought those were Pitt’s I would say so but they just don’t look like Pitt’s to me.

I don’t think it looks like a Pitbull either-my daughter has an AKC Pitbull as her pet and companion dog-they are big Terriers, and that dog hasn’t got a terrier look at all-like you said, looks like a hound-looks a lot like my neighbor’s brindle Bullmastiff, too...
I love German Shepherds-the female we had when my cub was a toddler guarded that kid so well that my hubby and I were the only ones who could pick her up anywhere but inside the house-even my brother got a death stare and growl and had to back off if the cub was playing outside. I don’t have that breed anymore because their lifespan is so short so they are lost far too soon-Chows and Huskies can live well over 15 years in good health-mine made it to 17.
Pit bull type dogs attack and kill more people than all other types of dogs combined and you’ve never heard of them killing someone? A few years ago a few pits dragged a kid under a fence and disembowled him before commencing to dine on his flesh - this isn’t unusual for these dogs. Their
“prey drive” means even riding a bike past them can “set off” their desire to pull down and kill prey (person on a bike).

In particular in the videos I’ve watched of pit attacks over many years, the dogs love it - it’s the “prey drive” so they love to attack and kill. There are pits who haven’t maimed or killed yet but we can’t tell which ones will and which ones won’t. Lovingly raised pits kill as do mistreated ones.
It’s crushing to watch videos of people who no longer have a face as they are still in the hospital, fretting that the pit owner doesn’t have insurance so now the victim is destined to lose their house and face repeated surgeries etc.
No, not only do the pix look like PBT types (not a breed), but apparently everyone she knew considers them pits, no denials. Except the dopey friend denying they would ever do anything nasty.
