To be honest, I have no idea what my dad said or did.
But in the midst of war, I’m sure he admitted nothing. Back then, and especially in wartime, security really did matter to people, and penalties were severe. But making guesses on the basis of pulp magazine contents wasn’t worthy of arrest.
As FReeper Reily pointed out, this guy wasn’t the only one who saw the linkage. The Japs did too. Perhaps censorship isn’t always the best idea.
