Abortion supporter Doug Jones defeated pro-life candidate Roy Moore in the special election for Senate seat in Alabama. Jones will apparently take the seat previously held by pro-life Sen. Jeff Sessions, who vacated it to become attorney general.
Moore was unable to overcome substantial allegations about his relationships with minor girls that made it so even pro-life Republican voters were reluctant to vote for him despite the enormous differences over the abortion issue.
Jones professes radical pro-abortion views that few Americans share. Jones supports the taxpayer-funded abortion giant Planned Parenthood, which is being criminally investigated for selling aborted baby body parts. And he opposes bans on later-term abortions that protect pain-capable unborn babies after 20 weeks.
In the waning days of the campaign, Jones essentially told Alabama voters not to vote for him if they disagree with his pro-abortion stance.
Look, my stance on that is well-known, it has been clarified. It has been misinterpreted over time, said Jones. But you know what? People are going to vote on the issues of the day. If thats their issue, thats their issue.
Jones victory makes it all but certain that the Senate will not have the votes to defund Planned Parenthood until at least the 2018 mid-term election, where pro-life groups hope to defeat Jones in a regular election as well as other pro-abortion Democrats who have held up legislation to revoke taxpayer funding from, the nations biggest abortion business.
The abortion business applauded his victory on Twitter.
Congratulations to @GDouglasJones on this great victory. We stand with him, it said.
Earlier this fall, Jones told MSNBCs Chuck Todd that he would not support any restrictions on abortion, if elected. Specifically, he said he opposes a ban on abortion after 20 weeks when strong scientific evidence indicates unborn babies can feel pain.

TODD: So you wouldnt be in favor of legislation that said, ban abortion after 20 weeks or something like that?
JONES: Im not in favor of anything that is going to infringe on a womans right and her freedom to choose.
Jones used the same line that abortion activists have been using lately to support late-term abortions on viable, healthy unborn babies. They use it to fight against bans on sex-selection abortions and abortions on unborn babies with disabilities like Down syndrome.
The Alabama special election was a difficult one for many pro-life voters. Neither candidate was the kind of person pro-life voters would prefer to wholeheartedly support.
LifeNews does not endorse candidates for political office and has not endorsed any candidate in this race or any other.
What? By one or two percent?
Don’t live in Alabama can’t tell you. either way was a dirty bit ‘O cheatin’
That whole election process was a mess. I bet Moore’s accusers will disappear.
Cant wait until Shelby runs for senate again. I plan to write in Roy Moore.
Shelby needs to be tied to his support of PP, over this.
He needs a ton of PP badges sent to his office/email/twitter account.
Shelby is 83 years old and unlikely to ever run again. Sorry.
Shelby probably supports PP.
Just not publically.
I would like to congratulate the republican party, for the victory they worked so very hard to achieve last night.
Jones didn’t win as much as a creepy weirdo lost.
Something like: Moore at 48.4% and Jones at 49.9% so there’s a call for a recount where unexpected lost/hidden votes were found for Jones; not unlike in Seattle where Princess Gregoire who was losing that after the third count King county suddenly found 123 missing ballots that put her over the top defeating Rossi (or so the story went).
Of course, never should have even been close.
I was almost banned for calling on Moore to quit. Looks like I was right.
His next campaign tagline.
Shelby may retire in 2022.
I was almost banned for calling on Moore to quit. Looks like I was right.
Nope, looks like you were WRONG.
McConnell is the one who should’ve been called on to quit. Quit all of his usual RINO/GOPe/leftist dirty tricks...that he, McRomney, and every other RINO who went against their own party’s candidate pulled.
Why would anyone (especially here) EVER want to side with the likes of those creeps?
So you’d rather lose with Moore and have a Democrat voting in that seat for the next 3?
Moore was a terrible candidate. I was correct.
This loss was solely the result of sabotage by the McMuffin wing of the party.
Any candidate that isn’t uniparty approved is automatically a ‘terrible candidate’.
You’re not much of a ‘tea party terrorist’ are you?
Moore was collateral damage.
The war was between the uniparty and uppity peasants who want to actually vote their own candidates.
It was NO coincidence that these charges, FORTY YEARS OLD, came out the day AFTER the ballots were printed. Amazingly ALL these women suddenly remembered the ‘abuse’ after having failed to do so during all Moore’s statewide races over the past 20+ years. AMAZING I tell you.
Again....and, please pay close attention....I’d rather NOT have RINOs/GOPe like McConnell, Romney, Tim Scott, Ari Fliescher, et al meddling in a state race.
Moore won the primary, fair and square. Moore was up in the polls, just until this past weekend. Hmmm.
Sounds like it is YOU who’d rather lose to the RINOs/Dims/establishment, than to have a conservative in that seat.
Is that you, Mitch??
Your ad hominem, straw man BS isn’t working, here. No Sale.
Tea Party Terrorist.....maybe means terrorizing Tea Party supporters and candidates?
Again...Mitch, is that you?
