If you ever needed proof that fate is real and that some relationships are just meant to be, hold onto your cynical hats. Lets rewind back 10 years. Verona Koliqi, who now lives in London but is originally from Kosovo, was visiting a beach in Montenegro with her family. They look the classic family holiday pictures and probably thought no more about them. Until Verona, a decade later, was examining one of the photos from the beach trip with her fiancé Mirand and noticed that the little boy floating on a lilo in the sea behind the Koliqi family. He noticed the kid in the back had the same shirt, shorts and floaty as him, she says. We analysed further and confirmed with family members that its him photobombing my family photo.

Yep, turns out that Mirands family were holidaying at exactly the same spot at exactly the same time and his family have since confirmed the fact. The pair never actually met as kids in fact, it wasnt until the summer of 2016 that their paths crossed again in Kosovo. And a year later, they got engaged.
So who knows, maybe you already know your future life partner.
Cute story - but I will admit my first thought was they were going to find out that they were related. :-0
Regards,
I don’t think you’re, um, we, are the only two...
Charming coincidence, but not “fate.”
[Spoiler]
If anyone’s seen the Korean film “Windstruck,” it ends the exact same way. Weird!
I hate that word.
Cool story, though.
Like Costanza at the beach.
Love Jun Ji-Hyun, “My Sassy Girl” is great, too.
My husband and I were at a toddler theme park on the same day in London, Ontario when we were both 3 (neither family lived in London). Both families had labeled “slides” from the same date. We are not in any of each other’s pictures, but possibly slid down Jack and Jill’s hill at the same time.
10 years later I went on a six-week exchange to a tiny town in Quebec ... we both attended the town summer festival on the same day (one-day festival ... the only thing to do in those parts, so “everyone” was there).
We could have saved six years had we met that day. Been married 27 years now, and it was “love at first sight” when we finally did meet in ‘89.
Love Jun Ji-Hyun, My Sassy Girl is great, too.

LOL. I just rewatched that last night :-).
And of course, “My Love From Another Star” and “Legend of the Blue Sea”.
I think of it as destiny is a good outcome, fate is not
My father and my wife’s grandfather worked together before we were born. My father was a Corrections Officer at San Quentin and Grandpa was the Prison Chaplain.
I recently discovered that a Freeper and I attended the same USAF technical school at the same time. I was one class ahead of his. The school lasted nearly a year, so we certainly met at some point.
You hate it because it’s not a word.
You are simply too erudite to be suckered by Newspeak.
That’s why we can be friends.
My sister and her husband were looking through my wedding album one day and realized his band played at my wedding. He appeared in the background on a picture of her dancing.
I was that pear shaped loser!
