The issue is this: In the eyes of some, the Crusader nickname is offensive to non-Christians. Some folks see it as a symbol of slaughters during the 11th-century Holy Wars between the Christians and Muslims. Others would argue that a Crusader is simply someone who is fighting for a cause. Websters Dictionary uses both definitions.

LOL. So lets play revisionist history because we’re too stupid to look at what they actually were and what happened. Right. Leaving aside that historical desecration of thought though - at the same token I should object anytime I hear Muslim because the slaughters they committed in the Jihad from North Africa, to Spain, to the Hindu Cush should cause me to melt like a snowflake.
Crusaders are warriors who protect home, family, country, religion and culture. So of course the 50 IQ liberal apes would hate the name crusaders; crusaders would kill them by the thousands.
W changed the code name of his war. The original name was Operation Crusades. They changed when they figured it would be offensive to those we were going to kill.
