Cyclic vomiting disorder has long been known as a consequence of marijuana use. We see it all the time in the hospital. Of course the weed is a natural substance and can do no wrong crowd won’t change their habits or even admit what’s causing it

"Of course the weed is a natural substance and can do no wrong..."

That argument has always floored me. Hemlock, cyanide, strychnine and nearly every other deadly poison is a naturally occurring substance (or at least derived from one).

It's a veritable epidemic. It just hasn't been widely reported until now.

Hey, at least alcohol doesn't cause vomiting, disorientation, screaming, violent assaults, domestic abuse, vehicular homicides, and chronic health problems. Oh, wait...

Cyclic vomiting disorder has long been known as a consequence of marijuana use.

Isn't that because the user gets the "munchies" and eats too much, too fast?

Curious...

I'm two decades into my pot career, and I hang out with many people who've been smoking pot since the actual '60s, and this is officially the first I'm learning of this well-known consequence of marijuana use...and from a British tabloid no less, so it must be 100% legit.

Strange. You'd think I'd have heard about it before today.

Pot is medicine, or so I’ve been told.

We have had a few cyclic vomiting cases.

I think that the showers short circuit the neuro system with an overload that stops the vomiting for a period.

We see about a 3 to four week course, with frequent repeaters.

Thats odd...this showing up all of a sudden some 50 years after weed use became commonplace. Yet another crisis and excuse for the handwringers to pass laws. Its not the marijuana...it must be some contamination either deliberate or natural. But then democrats are so near the edge in a sober state that it doesn’t take much to push them over.

“Cyclic vomiting disorder has long been known as a consequence of marijuana use.”

Back in the day, when America was still America there was a lot of “cyclic vomiting”. It would happen to little kids who got smoking. The old man would force the miscreant to smoke a 6” long cigar until he began calling his friends Ralph and Huey. Then he had to wear his thoroughly browned trousers the rest of the day. It worked.

I got queasy from pot once, because I ate 8 times the dose of edibles on top of the near constant vaping that I do.

It takes a lot to O.D. on pot, and let’s be frank: These hysterical anti-pot screeds conflate pot with those ecstasy-type drugs they sell as fake pot, which are totally unrelated, chemically.

So yeah, it’s all a lie.

Thanks, Weirdad! Here's a caution that should also be shared. Some of them, with more legalization and acceptance, are starting to develop some really bad attitudes and are carrying weapons (with firearms and CC licenses obtained with lies about being clean). Be careful out there!

People in medical work: please don't participate in anti-Second-Amendment legislation to make the neighbors of those people defenseless. Go for unmasking their would-be attackers instead (more mandatory, random drug tests, hospital visits, criminal histories including DUIs/DWIs, treatment, purchase documents, etc.). Remember that random testing should always be a surprise. Otherwise, they put much water through their bodies in advance in order to pass.

On legalization, here's what you're dealing with politically.

Record-High Support for Legalizing Marijuana Use in U.S.
Gallup
by Justin McCarthy
OCTOBER 25, 2017
Democrats: 72% in favor of legalization
Republicans: 51%
Independents: 67%

------------------------------------------

It won't go on forever, though. History, economics and human behavior trends show that the problem with eventually be turned around and defeated well enough. Hang in there, and find some courage. Be informative to your loved ones who haven't already found the wrong friends. Don't wear yourselves out on addicts. The worse it gets for addicts, the sooner and better it will get done.
