Slightly off-topic, but: today I was shopping in both a Pier 1 and Fred Meyer store. I was looking for Christmas-related items, and I noticed that NOTHING that I saw in either store had any specific Christian content. (Santa Clause doesn’t count, since he has been thoroughly secularized.) There was nothing to be found in either store about the birth of Jesus.

There's a huge mall that I visit daily during bad weather so I can exercise ("mall walking").In the mall one can see the Jewish candles...which is absolutely fine...but nothing,as you said, that even hints at Christianity.

And for the record this mall is one located in a very prosperous, and very "progressive",suburban area of Boston.Which,or course, means there aren't all that many genuine Christians...so few shoppers will be offended.
