Mueller’s Facts and Trump’s Make-Believe
New York Times ^ | December 5, 2017 | by Roger Cohen

It’s the contempt that’s so contemptible: President Trump’s contempt for the Constitution to which he swore an oath, for the F.B.I. that’s allegedly in “Tatters” (sic), for the majority of Americans (including his base) who will be worse off from a fat tax cut for the richest, for the shared wonder inspired by our public lands, for America’s allies, for the science that explains why it’s getting warmer, for due process, for truth, for informed debate, for the press, for the values anchored by liberty that the United States has attempted to represent to the world.

That’s a lot of contempt for one man. But it comes naturally to Trump. He has not given a moment of reflection to the office he occupies, or how its responsibilities may differ from those of running a real estate company. If bullying worked then, if stiffing contractors and trashing the truth worked then, why should they not work now?

Robert Mueller is why they may not work. Mueller, as the special counsel investigating Russian interference in the 2016 election, is interested in facts. On one side, the steady accumulation of facts and the flipping of Michael Flynn, Trump’s first national security adviser, who was busy following instructions and trying to make nice to Russia.

Truth telling is the fundamental, unpardonable offense in any unfree society. The only “truth” in a totalitarian system is lies. Trump attacks truth because he cannot bear the mirror it holds up to him, the emptiness it unmasks. He is drawn to the world’s despots, rather than its democrats, because they can make stuff up and get away with it.

This article is not by Blow?

It reads like a Blow job. But then, all the Slimes attack pieces seem like Blow jobs.

Ah

The Cohenate chimes in

Good to see his concern for the reefs of Southern Utah from his cubical in the canyons of Manhattan - has he ever ventured across the Hudson? Newark is probably his idea of a foreign country

Tres Laughable

I read, well skimmed, this whole ludicrous screed.

Not surprisingly, it didn’t contain one Mueller fact that indicates that Trump colluded with Russia.

Because there aren’t any.

There was a lot of screeching though, lots and lots of screeching.

Poor Roger, it’s not Trump who lives in a land of make-believe.

for the shared wonder inspired by our public lands,

Didn’t the Bear Ears N.M. manage to survive until Dec. 28, 2016 when the last President established it? It hasn’t “enjoyed” 12 months of special protection and now it faces existential threat?

The New York Times has long been noteworthy for making up an alternative reality. That is why I made them the antagonist in my novel Return Of The Gods.

Note in the subject article, here, how they project their own faux "reality" to Trump. They are indeed pathological. They have been playing this game, at least since they were masking the horrors that Stalin inflicted on the Russians & Ukranians in the early 1930s.

President Trump’s contempt for the Constitution to which he swore an oath

Name one thing President Trump has done that is unconstitutional.

JUST ONE!

I can easily name more than one by the Bill Clinton administration and dozens by Barack Obama.

This article is insanely stupid...so much so I couldn’t get beyond the first paragraph. These baboons live in a weird alternate universe.

Wrong title. it is Mueller’s fiction and Trump’s facts.
