Dr. Joe Bennett, a scientist from Boston says he's engineered the perfect Christmas song, by studying 200 Christmas songs and looking at lyrics, tempo, vocals, and musical key you need to make a hit. He engineered a new song called "Love's Not Just For Christmas" and, well, it really DOES sound like a classic Christmas song.

This is more my preference by far.
Does it have Mama, or trains or Rain or prison or trucks in it?...............
Perfect for our secular age I suppose. For me, a Christless Christmas isnt worth celebration. I will never get past the God of creation taking on human flesh and stepping into history.
Meh.
And not word really about Christmas...
... or gittin’ drunk???
I think it’s a nice song, I wouldn’t consider it “classic” though...maybe more of the 80’s type Christmas songs?
He “engineered” it?
Mozart, George Gershwin, Cole Porter all “engineered” some pretty good tunes also.
I really like this one;

Here’s a new Christmas song from my niece and nephews. It’s not very Christmassy, but it’s still pretty.
Mel’s time on Night Court was absolutely brilliant!
A very nice and a very secular “holiday” song.
That too!....................
This is a wild version of Little Drummer Boy at my church. Starts with violin, includes dance/drum solo, and ends with a wild drumline.
The candle light services are all traditional/reverant. The Christmas concert however often has at least one jazzy departure like this Little Drummer. It was very exciting to be in the audience and have no idea that they would go this far off traditional. But it worked. :)
