The University of Cincinnati student government has appropriated funding for a workshop next semester to teach students how to make "comfort kits" that include items such as worry stones, putty, fidget toys, paintbrushes, journals, and nail polish.
According to the bill passed on Wednesday, the kits will "provide support and comfort to survivors of gender-based violence and others who feel like they need it," the independent student newspaper, the News Record reported.

Well, I personally feel that as a male, there is a concerted effort to marginalize me, assassinate my character, and make false accusations about me - only because I am male. If this is what college campuses are going to become, then it’s high time we have gender specific colleges - so women, and those who identify as women, can all be together and feel safe, and young men can avoid becoming (or being accused of becoming) the rapists that the feminists say we all are.
This is all absurd.
I absolutely agree......furthermore....colleges are NOT your parents and I wish they’d stop trying to be that and let these students GROW UP to handle life!
More and more schools are going online. The "campus experience" just isn't worth it anymore. The numbers are huge. I think Liberty University has roughly 50,000 students enrolled in their online programs.
There never was or even now is the same level of support for kids who are bullied because they were glasses, are fat, or wear “odd”/cheap/old fashioned/modest clothes.
Physical assault, beat downs, targets of vandalism, etc. Schools didn’t and still don’t care.
Suck a skin flute and you are ‘god’ now. Welcome to the teacher’s lounge and show off your skills.
I pity any normal person attending these schools looking for an education.
Will they arrest you for laughing at snowflakes using silly putty and crayons to cope?
^^^ directed at grade schools, colleges are crazy to be playing this game
they’ve been this way ever since McDonalds took “toys” out of their “Happy Meals”...
Note to citizens in the future: Never, ever, vote for a millennial for public office.
I am 50. I probably learn more new things every day than these kids learn every year. I keep up on my math and still tutor calculus and algebra and diff eq, and matrix algebra, and physics l, and chemistyry to all of our millenial kids, and I do it for fun. I am learning how to design my own integrated circuits for fun because I not only thought it would be fun, but I need some functionality in my car that either doesnt exist in the market or is like $100 for 5 dollars in parts. i try to learn something practical daily and have discovered no matter how seemingly basic or simple a task, it is amazing when you have been doing it wrong for 30 years. I learn things like how to get my vehicle running if I break down 50 miles from a paved road in the nevada desert and how to survive and what I need to carry, and how to improvise things out of what is available at hand. But if these kids find it useful to have toys and silly putty and glitter in case somebody commits a microaggreasion, then all I can say is in this day in age when for the first time in history all of the worlds knowledge is not only available to just about everybody for free, and this is how they waste their time, then the human race will be devolving at a lightening pace
It sounds like the article is about women being assaulted by men. There's nothing in the article about homosexuality. Maybe you get that from "gender-based violence" or maybe it's in your head.
There never was or even now is the same level of support for kids who are bullied because they were glasses, are fat, or wear odd/cheap/old fashioned/modest clothes.
What kind of words were used against the "odd" kids at school, the fat kids, the ones with glasses? A lot of the time they were words used against homosexuals.
I don't really understand the article, though. It's a university and these are kid's toys they're handing out.
....”Note to citizens in the future:.....” Never, ever, vote for a millennial for public office”...
Exactly....
....”Will they arrest you for laughing at snowflakes using silly putty and crayons to cope?”.....
These idiot Women groups need to stop focusing on these silly ‘mothering/smoothering’ roles of other peoples kids in society and educational institutions and instead let them live and learn what they need to to survive in society....
Can you imagine some kid whipping out silly putty while being drilled by his boss in the workplace!...or handing in a colored coloring book page to show how he’s coping! HAHAHAHA!
Imo too many woman are going to be the downfall of this nation at the rate they are going.....and I am a woman!
When young Americans rose to the occasion against horrific odds:
Today's Americans need infants' toys to cope with the "hardship" of college life:
“gender based violence” is a catch all and it isn’t just cisgender women.
And my initial scan of the headline made me think of national “safe schools” programs that pledged to protect children (”ban bullying”). But they don’t seek to ban all bullies. Just those that meet the political litmus test.
These are the kids from “safe schools” now all grow-ed up. Big kids but still just kids. Would’ve been cheaper to just ban all bullying.
And I’d corrected my comments within a few moments.
My alma mater.
Not a damn dime of support will they receive from me.
And this by "Empty Nest" liberal mothers who can't let go of the apron
strings on 'other peoples' kids after their own have flown the nest.
These help groups are a farce.......’non-profits’ who send their instructors to teach garbage and FAIL to address the real issues ......worse than a waste of time...it’s doing more harm than good no matter how they frame their intentions.
No doubt this too is part of the Obama’s get involved agendas they’re pushing.
good on you!
The Battle of the Sexes has changed
into the War on Masculinity, and guys,
we’re losing.
Obama’s safe school czar promoted materials that had “first experiences” stories that dealt with man-boy (adult-minor) love.
