Former San Francisco 49er’s quarterback Colin Kaepernick is on the short list to receive Time’s Person of the Year award, the magazine confirmed Monday.
Time’s shortlist consists of ten people editors will choose from to designate as 2017’s Person of the Year. Kaepernick is famous for his kneeling in protest to police brutality during the National Anthem, is a potential candidate for activism.
“The former San Francisco 49ers quarterback was unable to find an NFL suitor this year after launching a national protest against racism and police brutality by kneeling during the national anthem. Yet the protest grew this year, as hundreds of NFL players kneeled during the anthem in the wake of criticism from President Trump,” the magazine noted.

If the police are brutal because of some accidents, a few bad apples, and a few incidents where the left is outraged that criminals died in the commission of a crime then blacks are violent because of bad apples who just happen to be black and, it should be noted, usually prey upon black persons. Likewise all leftist are violent because of AntiFa and the tall grass AntiFa hides in.

I can’t think of anyone who’s done more to damage any business in the last few years. If you love communism, you love what’s come from his actions and wish it could spread to every other successful business (except yours).
To be fair, he only performed a few simple actions (kneeling), and made a couple clueless statements over a few weeks, and more than a year ago. This award is about a movement to disrupt the US, not an individual’s actions over a year ago.
Unlike other “leaders” in history who continued to speak and encourage and had some goals (even if misguided), he was just a spark of ignorance that set off an explosion of stupidity toward no explainable end then disappeared.
Like Obama getting a peace prize before he “did nothing”, Kaepernick is up for an award 15 months after he “did nothing”. They both are a symbol for what the award-givers want the world to be. It says nothing about the recipients, but a lot about the givers.
Off topic but Time magazine has really downsized. It’s a thin publication, and inside there are lots of photos and graphs, and relatively little of the written word in there.
I know the internet has changed publishing, but wonder, how many still buy the printed Time magazine?

Only place I ever see Time magazine is in doctors’ offices. I guess a bored captive audience is the only one they have now. It used to be a respectable publication. Now it’s just a libtard forum spewing lies and anti-American drivel. They should send all the copies to some hellhole like Afghanistan, where they can use it to wipe themselves instead of their hand. That’s about all it’s worth now. Or their so-called awards.
