Well, they did not clue us in on Eugene’s idea, but it involved using a lot of ammo, which he said he could replace, if Negan would get him “his machines”.
After that, there was all sorts of shooting. Now Rick shows up and no snipers are there, and a person (sniper?) is hanging upside down with walkers snacking.
So I think Negan and the saviors escaped - I guess they are going to hole up somewhere and produce ammo. I expect Jadis to pull another Judas move.
