If you are talking about the Angel Fish, there isn't any evidence that I am aware of that makes that pedophilia. Some people actually like having happy children in their life without any sexual connotations whatsoever. Some people with means actually go out and do nice things for other people and other people's kids. Twain had a lot of tragedy in his life involving his own family. It is not surprising he would try to do nice things for children - three of his died before he did. Buying Gore Vidal's projection - and that seems to be exactly the origin of the pedophilia claim - only furthers the efforts of Vidal et. al. to damage America. And all such claims lead to Vidal, whose own siblings and multiple other family members pegged him as a pedophile. Be very careful what propaganda you spread around. Unless you can come up with a first-hand account from one of the Angel Fish, or one of Twain's own children, you should be skeptical of the claims made by a pedophile against him.
His politics, on the other hand, were dubious and reflected the times in which he lived - before socialism killed hundreds of millions of people.
