A hungry Burger King customer in Ohio got an earful of expletives last Wednesday after the restaurant’s manager cussed her out for taking too long to order.

The fast food industry seems to be overemployed.

I went to a McDonald’s in NoVa and ordered at a kiosk. That was really cool because it had pictures of every item. I could actually pretend my order would look like that.

I have absolutely zero tolerance for weak-minded indecision. I sympathize with the worker.

When somebody in a service role is forced to wait on one of these simple-minded people that does not know what they want, time is stolen from them. Precious time.

Of course, I don’t own or manage that business...for good reason.

I’m not defending the worker. It’s her job to be polite, regardless of the situation. But....in some fast-food establishments, the drive-thru worker is timed. Take too much time with one order, and you’re in a bit o’ trouble with the owner.

Same here. I was at an airport recently and in a hurry I waited in line next up behind a gaggle of old ladies. It took ten minutes until they were up. THEN they started discussing what they should order!

This manager needs to meet a customer like Michael Douglas in “Falling Down.” Two hair trigger tempers just waiting to explode over fast food issues.

I am of a mixed mind...

As a business owner, I would be horrified if one of my employees did this.

As a person who interacts with the public...it can be HUGELY frustrating.

We do custom printing and embroidering of apparel. I am always amazed by people who wish to order shirts, but have no idea of how many they need, what color they want, or how they want it decorated. But they will come in and ask “how much would some t-shirts cost?” You might as well go to an auto dealership and ask “how much does a car cost?” without knowing what you are going to use the car for!

I have seen people stand in line for ten minutes, talking on the phone or to others, then get up to the counter and stammer, “Uh, let’s seee, hmmmmm, what do I want?” and stare at the menu board trying to decide what they want......................

people in general are just more rude, caustic, foul mouthed these days....I can't stand to be around them...

do I curse?...yes...to myself....never would imagine creating so much chaos and being so out of control as these people in the video.

Does the manager get a cool weapon, too?

Funny you mention the last part.

Been awhile, but I’ve ordered and sold printed shirts in bulk, and will often ask at which volume the shirts’ per unit price breaks, but of course if I’d been unfamiliar with the terms, I probably would have fumbled.

I brought in a polo shirt with a personalized logo on front and wanted letters ironed on the back, and received a call from them a few days later telling me it would take longer because they’d ruined the shirt and had to craft the screen for my original front logo and remake the shirt and then put the letters on. I recall them joking at how much it cost them to print some letters on my shirt.

I also recall thinking someone had misspelled the words I wanted printed on the back — I certainly hadn’t.

Not quite related to the original topic, but I was impressed with their customer service.

The manager at the Burger King off 528 and Obregon Rd. in Rio Rancho, NM needs to be yelled at. That place is unbelievably slow. Or at least it used to be. (I haven’t been there in about 15 years, so what do I know?)

Ah yes, I have often wished horrible deaths for those people, only in my mind, of course.
