SUDBURY, Mass. (AP) - Police in a Massachusetts town are showing residents how not to transport their Christmas trees.
The Sudbury Police Department posted a picture Friday of a vehicle with a large tree on top of it. Almost the entire car

When I was a kid, we used to bring the family tree home with the Triumph TR6 convertible. We would just drop the top, put the trunk of the tree on the top of the windshield, and go.
As the youngest, I got the unenviable job of sticking my hands up above the windshield to hold onto the tree to keep it from flying away. I about froze my hands off every year, and I couldn’t see a thing. I don’t think Dad could, either.

I know- tell me aqbout it- I got pulled over for goign 100 miles and hour in a 50 mph zone, and when the cop began to write out the ticket I said “But officer, I was only going to be out driving for a 1/2 hour”

Many tree farms have this nifty plastic mesh sleeve they slip over the tree for transport. Makes it so much easier to handle.
