Canada should have won.
I certainly didn’t tune into it and haven’t since the 70’s when we only had one tv channel. Hubby tuned it to it when Steve Harvey was asking the top however many dumb questions and getting even dumber or totally unrelated answers. Even he said one question was stupid. We shook our heads and tuned into something else.
Sheesh, the language in this article...
I like sexism. I like being treated like a man. And my wife likes being treated like a woman. But maybe that’s just us.
How is this really any different for women than a bodybuilding competition is for men?
If you don’t like it, you don’t have to watch.
Demanding the women who DO want to participate damn the pageant is intolerance.
Many, many people have viewpoints other than yours, dear.
What is it with “we” and “right now”?
I get this sort of thing a lot.
The assumptions in this sort of thinking are very thick indeed.
Some people seem incapable of distinguishing fashion from morality.
Amy Zimmerman probably does not look good in a bikini like these ladies. Jealousy!
The (((author))) seems butt hurt.
*Average* women are so threatened by this ‘beauty’ stuff all while selecting the most attractive ‘war paint’ to make the Alpha Males notice them.
Just so catty & shallow.
The more the PC crowd demands I care about their issues the less likely I’m to care. It doesn’t matter what they are talking about or talking up: the cancer of PC tarnishes and pollutes everything it touches. Screw them and the jackass they ride.
“be gorgeous, intelligent, and poised; to look good in a bikini, ace a question-and-answer segment, represent their entire nation and walk perfectly in high heels.”

BUZZ!! “What are seven things liberal broads can’t do”, Alex!
Saw her picture....enough said
Oh, you don't mean it's sexist because only women have a chance to be in it and win all that money for doing nothing but looking good? I agree, take it off the air. I never watched it anyway.
I say they should add a male facet to it them have a run-off between the male and female exhibitionists who end up on top....or just do away with it as it serves no social purpose....
I remember watching Miss Universe at age 13 in 1980 and discovering for the first time how lovely women’s legs are.
It is not a double standard to treat unlike things differently.
You mean transgenders can’t compete?
Really I am surprised this is still a thing.
