But even the shooting comment is out of context: the original quote at a campaign rally was Trump saying that someone else had said he could shoot someone and his supporters would still vote for him.
I can’t find the transcript so I’m paraphrasing, but I remember it started with something like “Did you hear?” “They say I could....” and then he ended the story with “I guess that means I have very loyal supporters” ... “Amazing”.
I wish I could remember which rally that was and get the actual context, he wasn’t boasting that he could shoot somebody, he was saying someone else said that -
