Since having knee-replacement surgery, my surgeon insists on four capsules of Amoxicillin taken the day before each visit to the dentist.

I understand the reasoning, but recent news suggests this regimen is not necessary.

Amoxicillin is what cured my getting colds for years now.
I wrote out the 3 drugs I was given when I was last sick. So sick my eyes were practically glued shut by green goo.
I went to a “Urgent Care” place. When I was at the dentist they gave me Amoxicillin.

Taking the medicine too long can temporarily affect your vision.
After you stop taking the medicine your vision will go back to normal.
This drug also fixes aches and pains in your back and neck that may be caused by upper respiratory infection.
