Secondly I am all for the British monarchy as an institution in its current (post-American Revolution, across the pond, no political power, solely ceremonial) form...however imperfect its representatives.

I think it’s good for post-Brexit England plus Europe as a whole to maintain a sense of symbolic, historic continuity and heritage. Also appreciate the upkeep of traditions rooted in Anglicanism and the Church.

Don't expect any upkeep of Christian traditions from Charles, Camilla or the rest of them. Charles has already said he does not want to be "Defender of the Faith" and has swanned around in muslim dress on many occasions.
