For this guy to decry tribalism is a laugh.

Conservatives want PROOF of wrongdoing, not 40 year old unproven claims. And evidence of criminality. And, perhaps, if the action is immoral but not illegal, some notion that the individual is impenitent.

The opposite is true of liberals.

And perhaps it would help if the claimed 40-yo abuses were unambiguously inherently immoral rather than legal, if tacky, under substantively similar circumstances. A speeding ticket is inherently in that category, for example, if you’re not talking a ten mph, and at least 20%, margin of violation.
