Residents must carry a gun to protect against polar bears (which can considerably outnumber them), employment is mandatory as there’s no welfare system, residents abusing drugs and alcohol are kicked out of the community, and you can’t give birth or die there.

I started watching Fortitude, and it was interesting, but the full frontal nudity, explicit sex, and foul language ruined it. I’ll just read the synopsis to find out how it goes. No one will notice, but I refuse to watch movies and programs like that any more. That’s why I appreciated Longmire so much. They produced a top notch series without all that, though they seemed to have more cursing in the last two seasons, but not the really foul stuff.
