That’s where I had the Chrysler at over 140. There are actually not all that many places in the east where you could sustain that kind of speed.

The V8 was shoehorned in, and in the first run of that model, you couldn't change at least one of the spark plugs without loosening a motor mount, and jacking the engine.
Later models had a recess in the firewall to allow access.
Now that I remember it, the 4cyl had some annoying, in-the-way rigid metal tubing that ran across the top of the cylinders. Dexterity was needed for changing the plugs.

Wow! Her husband is a piece of work. And they both like to speed down the highway. If half of what’s in the article is true, she’s a total fraud.
Maybe 119 was a convenient number to keep it below a certain speed based on how the statue is written? I remember back in the day the GA State patrol had me at 74 in a 55 as 20+ over moved up to a bigger deal, not a mail in fine, full court appearance etc.

There are parts of the NYS Thruway, where it is frankly not unreasonable. Until they put the rumble-strips along the side of the highway, the second leading cause of fatal accidents was falling asleep/boredom.

I should add, that the NYS thruway has many sections where exits are 15-20 miles apart, with long straight-aways and wide banked curves.
Doing 2/3 that in a city is insane.

She really has a pair. The cop that stopped me on a deserted highway on a Christmas morn said “ I don’t know why you stopped; I would have never caught you” He had a big Chrysler police car.
