A man who always joked that he didn't want to venture into the afterlife hungry got his wish when he was buried with two cheesesteaks from his favorite sandwich shop Pat's King of Steaks in Philadelphia.
According to his grandson, Dominic Lussi, when asked what he wanted to take with him when he died, Richard Lussi replied, "What do you think? Pat's cheesesteak!"
"No onions," his grandson said he would say, "because they'll come back to haunt me."

I’d rather have a Bellyfiller from Larry’s.
Wit Whiz!
Great to see the family fulfilled a simple last wish.
I want to be buried wearing an Iron Maiden T-shirt.
I think I would make Chef John's Bite-Sized Philly Cheesecake bechamel, double it or not, and put cheddar cheese (he used provolone) in it instead of using Cheese Whiz. I might make his mini ones sometime, too.
Does Cheese Whiz still still taste good? Velveeta which used to be useful tastes terrible now so I don't buy it but Cheese Whiz could be a real time saver. My mother used to use it.
Correction: One Whiz wit’
< quantity > < cheese > < onions >
My grandfather took peanut butter cup and a bottle of Sam Adams with him. Miss him terribly....My Hero....
Sorry, don't know. Never had CW. I choose that pic because it just happened to look the best of the images that came up on my Google search. I had previously thought the cheese used in cheese steaks was a white variety. Although I've made and ate plenty of steak sandwiches, I never had a cheese steak.
In any case, here are some others I found on a further search...
Would love to try any one of them!
If they’re still alive when my time comes, I want to be cremated with Hillary and Obama and McConnell and a host of others.....
I wonder how they got the photo of Geno’s without 100 people lined up in the street waiting for their cheesesteak. I’ve been there a couple times. never been to Pat’s. It’s across the street.
Now you're talkin'. :)
‘Cheesesteaks’,you CAN take them with you but you can’t eat them...
The SS service chased them off?
We were at the Wall in DC, and a troop of SS swept in and told us all to leave. I asked why. [I was taken aback b/c I was honoring my fiancee, whose name is on The Wall.]
Turns out the President of Nicaragua was coming to lay a wreath. He wasn’t there 2 minutes and he was off. Which made me feel relieved to carry on.
The SS service chased them off?
I think cyclotic was referring to the first photo in my post (below), which I doubt was related to the Trump visit. In any case, perhaps they had just closed for the night.
I actually like a lot of abstract art, in addition to the great landscape and classic portrait paintings, which are by far my top choices.
The thing with abstract is the category is humongous, with many different styles. In other words, its not just some dopey blank or solid colored canvas with a single dot in the center, or other such no-talent junk that passes for art in liberal circles. And, IMO, it doesnt necessarily need to make sense or have meaning. It could just be a nice mix of colors and shapes.
This absolute junk below is probably valued in the 10s or 100s of thousands, if not more. It actually hangs in the Guggenheim in New York City.
