This will be a weekly post.
Still 13 out of 62 confirmed.
Though nominees have been moving steadily in committee.
And also, Chairman Grassley announced hearings on two nominees being held up via blue slips not being returned by senators Franken of MN and Kennedy of LA.
Mitch needs to feel more pressure.
Thank you for the update.
McConnell (Democrat)
and Ryan (Democrat and Romney supplicant)
have OBSTRUCTED MAGA for almost 1 year.
They have misled everyone, as they remain
EXEMPT, and ObamaCARE (RomneyCARE) continues.
A reminder that all is not well on Capital Hill. Until McConnell and Ryan and their teams and staff are gone, nothing will change.
McTurtle & Ryno are the true obstructionists, not the dems. Time to get rid of them!
I dont comment much but appreciate you information. Thank you.
Franken’s blue slip should be given the respect it deserves...
Why is Kennedy blocking a nominee? Looks like it is Kyle Duncan.
Not counting long backlogs or elections causing massive retirements, what is the typical number of judges that need to be confirmed every year? What is the Senate's required throughput on judges just from business as usual?
"not the dems"...just them? The Democrats are trying to get these nominations approved but McConnell and Ryan are blocking them? Ryan has nothing to do with judicial nominations to begin with, and if Schumer were in charge over in the Senate, Gorsuch would have never been confirmed and few if any of these judicial nominees would have even had a hearing by this point that have been confirmed.
McConnell just got a bunch of Trump's judicial nominees confirmed in one week
Republicans just confirmed a bunch of circuit court judges last week. One expert said such a week only occurred twice over the three prior administrations. Democrats blasted the rapid-fire process. Last week, Senate Republicans were able to confirm four of President Donald Trump's judicial nominees for lifetime positions on circuit courts, in addition to one more to a district court post as a part of the president's unprecedented judicial blitz. Those who were confirmed included Michigan Supreme Court Judge Joan Larsen to serve on the US 6th Circuit Court of Appeals, conservative Notre Dame law professor Amy Coney Barrett to serve on the US 7th Circuit Court of Appeals, University of Pennsylvania law professor Stephanos Bibas to the US 3rd Circuit Court of Appeals, Colorado Supreme Court Judge Allison Eid to the US 10th Circuit Court of Appeals, and attorney Trevor McFadden to serve on the US District Court for the District of Columbia. Seizing an opportunity to move forward on reshaping the federal court system to a more conservative bend, Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell worked to confirm the judges in rapid-fire succession, in a week that experts said was incredibly rare and drew the ire of Democrats who believe Republicans are being hypocritical in the confirmation process and not providing ample time to vet the candidates.
The pace of judicial confirmations is not slow by historic standards. There are well over 100 judicial vacancies, and part of the problem was the Trump Administration sending only a handful of nominees to the Senate prior to late June, just in time for the summer recess.
Here’s the tally of judicial openings and the number of nominees:

Thank you! Venting against McTurtle & Ryno! They’ve, IMHO, been obstructionists on nearly everything Pres. Trump has put forward. Got no use for either!
