Problem is, all future incidents of racist scrawling will automatically be discounted and questioned as to their validity. The black cadet who did this has done a disservice to his own race! I would maintain that committing a “false hate crime”, in an effort to frame another group, should be considered a “hate crime” on its own merit, and prosecuted as such.

BTW this guy wasn't a cadet. He was in Prep School, a program designed to take prior service enlisted and qualify them to become cadets. It is an academic boot camp that addresses deficiencies in core curriculum skills, usually math.

What clued them is was the fact that the racial slurs were misspelled.
