Impressive degree of control. I’d want a GPS pinger on this thing because if it gets away from you, it could be in the next county!

The control surfaces seem HUGE for something that fast.

I suppose he can dial back the gain on the transmitter... and he has far better eyes than I do to even see to control it.

Geez...that engine on the RC even sounds like a “big boy” engine.

Holy cow, that thing’s fast? Gotta be a great pilot to control that one, I bet.

I thought there were laws on the speed of those things?

Ah, the brief speech sounded German. Not in the US.

FWIW, Nikola Tesla was the first person to use radio remote control. Toy boat in a pond in Central Park.

I bet that thing could get out of range in about 10 seconds.

Great post! Thanks.

Germans...mini-Luftwaffe

Awesome amount of glide time after fuel depleted. Thought for a moment it was going to corkscrew into the turf but... dayum!

Here’s 720p footage of the same plane with G0Pro cam.

https://youtu.be/H74rXkQBeR4

Four segments, each about six minutes.

1. Forward view from take off to landing.
2. Rear view take off & landing.
3. Rear view take off & landing
4. Forward view take off & landing

Amazing... In straight line it would be approximately a 45 mile flight.

They picked a perfect day for filming.
Got a bit queasy watching the horizon twists and turns.
