It’s hard not to feel a little bad for the DC Comics films at this point.
They have the unenviable task having to form an identity in the shadows of the films of the Marvel Cinematic Universe, which are usually good and rarely unwatchable, and the continued glow of Christopher Nolan’s Dark Knight trilogy, which are seeming more and more like transcendent anomalies as we get deeper into this never-ending cycle of super humans crowding our multiplexes. DC got off to a rocky start and then Patty Jenkins went and made a very good “Wonder Woman.”

Ben Affleck is no super hero.
Wonder Woman movie was overrated (the last act was awful). Marvel makes nothing but garbage. The First Iron Man movie being the only actually well made film.
I watched these films because I liked the characters but really most of this stuff is a complete waste of time.
Im sure Justice League is bad but I doubt its worse than 90% of the tripe Disney pumps out.
Wouldn’t be caught dead standing in a line with a bunch of millenial fanboys to spend 16 dollars for a 2 hour live action episode of SuperFriends. Contrary to the opinion of the author (gotta be gay) - I have no issue with gratuitous shots of Gal Gadot’s bottom -
When I watch a movie, it’s about escapism.
People who tend to micro-analyze movies to the zillionth degree are often pretentious boors who make their “reviews” about themselves.....
You either had fun for two hours or you didn’t, and THAT’S the barometer.
The author does come across as possibly homosexual. And note that the author really only has nice things to say about Ezra Miller, who self-identifies as “queer”.
I was ok with Ares being a humble and meek police commissionaire, in disguised. However, how could they not cgi him into a 7’5 broad shouldered warrior, with a baritone voice, was beyond me.
Film critics all too often aren’t smart enough to know that the word “avant-garde” is often interchangeable with the word “garbage”.

MY OPINION:
I love comic book movies and the Marvel movies are great!
I even liked the DC movies although you sure can tell the difference—Marvel is of a higher quality.
In any case, some are better than others, but even the lesser ones are pretty good. You can find things to complain about in ANY production. Unless it is a fantasy flick I really hate to utterly suspend disbelief. There needs to be some plausibility in SciFi.
So, I’ll have to disagree with you on Marvel.
I would rank them as follows:
1. Captain America: Civil War —My personal favorite because the takeover of SHIELD by Hydra was EXCELLENT—explains so much. Reminds me of the takeover of Wash DC by the Swamp/Deep State/RINO/GOPe/Clinton Machine.
2. Guardians Of the Galaxy 1
3. Deadpool
4. Thor: Ragnorok — Still playing, get yerself to the theater!
5. Ironman 1
6. Dr. Strange
7. Avengers 1
8. Thor 1
9. Capt America 1
10. Ironman 2
11. Guardians Of the Galaxy 2
12. Avengers 2
13. Spiderman Homecoming
14. Ironman 3
15. Thor 2
16. Antman
Beyond that, I’m a big fan of the X-Men franchise. Days of the Future Past was awesome!
DC Movies - I like them, but some parts are really stupid. The ‘Martha’ bit was pathetic and worthy of ridicule. Aflac as Batman is horrid. IMHO, he’s just not that good of an actor, frankly. The story is still good, but wish they picked someone else.
Wonder Woman was excellent except the villain was portrayed as a Nazi before Nazi’s even existed. My opinion of WWI was that Britain and France were as much to blame as Imperial Germany. The Austrian beef with Serbia was just. The USA would sure as hell done the same; see Afghanistan for proof.
I wouldn’t watch anything by Trump-hating maniac Joss Whedon.

Tired of watching Photoshopped videos they are calling “films”.
Honestly I stopped watched them after Civil War. One of the worst stories in comics became one of the worst marvel movies. Looking back I think I only liked them because I really liked the comics as a kid.
First Guardians movie was really fun but I turned the second one off half way into watching it.
I don’t think they have gotten worse but its really just the same stuff over and over with different costumes. I guess I just got bored with them.
Did you see Logan? It was dark but one of the finest movies of the franchise. And if you liked The Last of Us it was the movie version of the game:-)
