You are correct that different rules apply, but I’m not sure what to do about it. I don’t want to be one who doesn’t play by the rules. Do you?
I don’t see any point in following the rules if my enemies aren’t going to. Hypothetically if every state that had a pro-marriage law that was overturned by a federal judge, refused to comply with the judge’s ruling, and kept doing that even after the SCOTUS ruling, there’s no doubt in my mind that the feds would eventually cave. They simply don’t have the time or resources to enforce things like that.
