Yes, its happening! Newsrooms from coast-to-coast have reported that the 9th Circuit Court of Appeals in San Francisco gave the go-ahead to a lawsuit to legalize prostitution.
Will you send your petition? Youll feel good about it and please listen: The case was brought by three former prostitutes! Imagine!
And heres the scary part:
I fear that the judges have already made up their minds! Check out these press reports. Ive emphasized the most important piece:
...Thursdays three-judge panel indicated times have changed and its time to review the law again.
The three-judge panel suggested that the law might need closer scrutiny, given todays less restrictive standards
Is that bad news for all of America? Absolutely!
The danger is that the 9th Circuit is a federal court, and all too often legal decisions in Federal Courts...
...become the law of the land!

Well wait a minute, let’s think this over a bit. What do these prostitutes look like?
I’m serious. Human trafficking is a world wide problem for women and children.
Would drive down the price. US prostitutes hardest hit.
If there were no buyers, the sellers would disappear.
Thank you. If it was not for America Needs Fatima I would not have heard of this. These guys are really on top of things.
Legalizing prostitution? How very libertarian.
Why not? That way the State can tax it. And with the added taxes, they can spend more.
Tax and spend. The libertarian agenda.
Just like gambling, tobacco, drugs, alcohol and other vices that do more harm to our society than good.
“love is love is love”
Just ask democrats. Neither race, nor sex/gender, nor age, nor financial compensation are at issue (unless it involves a conservative republican).
You can’t tell people what to do with their bodies..... Where have we heard that I wonder.
So judges make law now?
What are we going to do with all the unemployed politicians?
“So judges make law now?”
Roe vs wade??
And that is the sad truth. A friend of mine own a hotel in the not so good part of town... the place was FULL of them... all cash business.
the women were awful looking... but you know what? the dude DID NOT CARE?? I was amazed guys would pay for that... but they did.
Human trafficking is terrible I agree I think all of us would agree with that. Human trafficking is terrible I agree I think all of us would agree with that
But legally can laws against prostitution be defended?
In a legal environment in which we must allow homosexual marriage, and with other court cases such as Lawrence versus Texas, in which the Supreme Court has said that mere moralit y is not a basis or justification for laws, I frankly I’m not surprised that laws against prostitution would be attacked in court.
Why is prostitution illegal? I think most of us would agree that prostitution is illegal because of a strong moral judgment against that activity. In a legal environment in which morality is not a basis for making laws then prostitution laws become questionable.
I hope and pray that human trafficking will be vigorously fought around the world. But regarding prostitution with adult women and everyone being a consenting adult, these are the laws which may be challenged in court.
Only many women are forced into this. Now they will be able to say those women “wanted” to do this. Now it will be harder to charge the people for human trafficking laws.
No we don’t want this law passed. This is very evil.
You say consenting adults but do you know how many underage teens are in this business? Yea nor do I or anyone else for that matter.
Underage teens, both boys and girls who are runaways or throw aways make up a big chunk of this business.
I beg you guys please say no to this bill.
Sister mary rose mcgeady wrote many books. One such was “Sometimes God Has a Kid’s Face” Read it.
Sister, who ran Covenant House and worked with homeless teens. This is how I know all this.
Make sure the judges aren’t all of a sudden investing their money in large multi roomed houses by proxy.
You make a great point about trafficking and underaged teens being caught up in prostitution.
And its the same with pornography. I’ve lost track of the sources, but the percentages of children who are exploited as porn objects is sickening.
