Tipping is inherently servile.
wait until they start adding 18 percent surcharge to the bill for “canadians”.
I am so bad. My mind just thought of something racist.
TIPS = To Insure Proper Service
That’s always been a lot of hooey.
Giving money AFTER the fact isn’t insuring anything.
I don’t tip because society says I have to. Alright, I mean I’ll tip if somebody really deserves a tip. If they put forth the effort, I’ll give them something extra.
Look at McDonald’s, you don’t see anyone tip them, do ya? Why not? They’re serving you food. But no, society says don’t tip these guys over here, but tip these guys over here. That’s bullshit!
Mr. Pink: Uh-uh, I don't tip.
Nice Guy Eddie: You don't tip?
Mr. Pink: Nah, I don't believe in it.
Nice Guy Eddie: You don't believe in tipping?
Mr. Blue: You know what these chicks make? They make s.
Mr. Pink: Don't give me that. She don't make enough money that she can quit.
Nice Guy Eddie: I don't even know a f'ing Jew who'd have the balls to say that. Let me get this straight: you don't ever tip?
Mr. Pink: I don't tip because society says I have to. All right, if someone deserves a tip, if they really put forth an effort, I'll give them something a little something extra. But this tipping automatically, it's for the birds. As far as I'm concerned, they're just doing their job.
Mr. Blue: Hey, our girl was nice.
Mr. Pink: She was okay. She wasn't anything special.
Mr. Blue: What's special? Take you in the back and s your d?
Nice Guy Eddie: I'd go over twelve percent for that.
I was hoping they were already doing that.
The lawyer was probably being PC.
Large groups tend to slide out as individuals without paying their checks.
“Giving money AFTER the fact isnt insuring anything.”
It is if you go there often.
If I’m new at a place or I know my party will be difficult, I give some tip in advance so they treat us like regulars straight away.
many restaurants put all orders of a large group on one ticket and add an automatic tip.
You’re right about being a repeat customer. I’ll usually tip twenty percent and fifty percent if I want to be remembered.
Of course, what inevitably happens is they’ll either change the waiter’s shift or the waiter quits and takes the institutional memory of my tipping with her.
Their parents send them off with either a credit card or fist full of money so they can eat with their friends, as opposed to dining at home or away with whatever family they might be fortunate enough to have.
Kids being kids either dont even imagine tipping or worse yet, realize they have more money by keeping that tip money!
We know a young woman who works lots of hours at a popular diner and have observed ourselves on many Friday nights, the place is packed with teens.
We asked her if she was stiffed by the kids and she said not often but they do leave the place a mess, are rowdy and rude. We then inquired if she ever gets a tip from them.
She smiled and said, Every time! I then asked what she meant and she unashamedly responded, I always add it to their bills!
Well played.

A tip is a gift. This isn’t tipping.
A gratuity (something given of free will) ceases to be a gratuity when tacked onto the bill and is rather more like a tax or surcharge.
I just wish they treated old people with such disgust who are pretty bad tippers themselves and tend to take advantage of any free coffee or senior discounts and sit for hrs I restaurants...
but teenagers are just fair game to attack and offend...
I mean, these ladies aren’t starving to death. They make minimum wage. You know, I used to work minimum wage and when I did I wasn’t lucky enough to have a job that society deemed tipworthy.
