A local radio personality is a veteran of Iraq. A true war hero. He told his story. Fighting house to house, he watched as he saw 'better men the him' die. He came home. And they called him a war hero. And now he gets to spend the rest of his life 'feeling awkward'.
I look at my own mundane, mediocre life. And today I thank God for that life. And I thank the veterans. I gripe every day about my own little petty problems. For at least today, I will not gripe.
