Most people are hyped up on this story right now but when dust settles I hope that is the way it played out.

A lot of legal ramifications.

Name one.
So no, not really, not in Texas. Except the spelling of the name to put on the commemorative plaque. Think his family will sue the citizen? Zero chance of an award for damages. Think the DA will bring a case? Fat chance. Think you can get a grand jury to indict? Dream on.

This isn’t DC. The sick lawyers will pretty much have nothing to do but represent the dead in a proceeding against the worthless estate of the killer.
The guy who shot him will have zero problems. And trust me, he won’t have to pay for an attorney.

Spent the whole evening visiting parents with no cable TV. Had to turn on Fox just now after reading this to find out what this thread is all about. Another shooting, what do ya know smh.

In an interview, the Texas Attorney General recounted the events as having played out that way, so it's pretty much a done deal. Texas Rangers said the same.
