The White House on Saturday disparaged the legacies of the only two living Republican presidents to precede Donald Trump, after reports that both men castigated Trump in interviews last year and refused to vote for him.
Former president George H.W. Bush mocked then-candidate Trump as a blowhard and voted for a Democratic president, while the younger Bush worried aloud that Trump would destroy the idea of a Republican president in all but name, according to The Last Republicans, which is scheduled to go on sale later this month.
The White House responded after quotes from the book were published on Saturday, entering an extraordinary war of words involving three presidents from the same party.
If one Presidential candidate can disassemble a political party, it speaks volumes about how strong a legacy its past two presidents really had, the White House wrote to CNN. It called the younger Bush's decision to wage war on Iraq one of the greatest foreign policy mistakes in American history.

Regan would of been removed from office or not even elected if he had not picked a vice president that was approved by the the cabal of republicans and democrats responsible for the assassination of Kennedy, the reason for most of trumps problems within both parties is the remnants of this group and there progeny still in both parties.
“White House attacks legacies of both Bush presidents”
And tell us, WaPo, what do you see those “legacies” as before you decided to pretend like you liked either of these guys, all of a sudden.
Not GIBBERING JEB, say it ain’t so.
The “Bushes” hated Trump because........HE WASN’T ONE OF THEM! He was a “bomb thrower” and didn’t fit into their cliques. Worse yet, he was not a polished liar who followed liars higher up the corruption chain.

Hillary getting thrown under the bus by her party.
Trump getting thrown under the bus by the GOPe.
Hmmmmm.
Something’s up.
And Bush charged a veteran’s charity $100k for a speech.
Refresh my memory on that one?
The Bush’s are “misunderestimating” Trump; or, perhaps they aren’t and they know what he’s doing in a garenteed win. I lean toward the later!
The looting of Libya was more of a drive by asasanation and cost less good soldiers I that way the bushes were worse than the Obama/Hillary war criminals
Exactly!
Trump is the first since Reagan to be unabashedly pro-America and pro-American. It’s pathetic when you think about it.
We used our embassy to arm terrorists and destablize the host nation.
When the leader of that nation was captured as a POW, he was paraded about, tortured, and murdered.
Our Secretary of State laughed and proclaimed WE came, We saw, HE DIED.
And it was provoked by a lobbyist contacting Hitlery Rotten Clinton.
Murdering heads of state from our embassies in that country would appear to violate the entire notion of having diplomatic relations with a country.
The Russians may have used their embassies in the West to spy on the host nations but it would be alotogether something else if the Russian embassy was handing out military firepower to the Weather Underground, Black Panthers, and funding Oswald’s assassination of JFK and then boating about it on television when Kennedy was murdered.
The Bushes should have enough class to STFU and stop grabbing women’s asses.
Trump has no expectation of support from the Bushes after he eviscerated their son Jeb.
Obama is the legacy of George W. Bush.
The Bushes have shown that they are no better than the Clintons. They cover up their sleaze better. That's all.
VS.
Who do you think is gonna win?
THAAAAAT'S RIIIIIGHT!!!
