First, I don’t see a problem. Hit a cop, expect to receive something in return. Second, the loaded language shows the writers bias. She “slaps”, he “punches”...devastatingly. She was so drunk and the video so poor - who knows? Let’s just say she punched the cop and he slapped her in return.

That slap wasn't exactly a love tap, either. Maybe she had rings on her finger, or long nails. This one falls under "Play Stupid Games, Win Stupid Prizes" in my book.
