Disney has officially ironed out the cast of its upcoming live-action Lion King adaptation and some pretty impressive names are now in the mix.
On Wednesday evening, the Mouse House released a photo detailing the members of the cast that will voice key roles. While some names like John Oliver as Zazu, Seth Rogen as Pumbaa and Billy Eichner as Timon were previously-known, the list had a few surprises.

Is some male lion going to fall in love with another male lion?
Im holding out for the live-action The Rescuers. But is it racist to give the mice role to blacks or racist not to do so?
So which actors are the rapists and which are the pedophiles?
How is it “live action” if all of the characters are CGI?
Or are all of the actors going to be wearing lion costumes?
Live-action Ren & Stimpy or bust!
It doesn’t seem possible, but Disney just keeps getting worse and worse and worse.
Interestingly, the only parts being portrayed by white actors are the comedic ones (Zazu, Pumbaa, Timon).
Beat me to it. This isn't a live action film. CGI animation is still animation, after all.
Since it is Disney, I’m not interested.
Why post anything bout disney? Is their content that good? They put out liberal pablum ....infantile notions...feelgood anaesthetic 2nd grade sentimentality....why support them? Ever realize that if all diverse peoples intermingle and procreate, eventually there will be a homogenous group...and no.more diversity..so then society...by definition of the liberals will be a failure
Until today had forgotten 1994 cartoon had Matthew Broderick, Johnathan Taylor Thomas, Jeremy Irons, Moira Kelly voices http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0110357/
Now no whites.
It's a mixed bag. In the case of live action adaptations, not so much...but many of the recent films in the animated canon have been quite good ("Tangled" and "Moana" come to mind)
