To: slapshot

I was raised by an alcoholic mother. Never knew from one minute to the next what her “mood” would be. Could change faster than the direction a hummingbird flies.

She could lie with professional quality & was always unstable. I couldn’t get away far enough or fast enough when I graduated high school.

Watching both Boehner & McConnell, I see the same motions & gestures she used.

And she died in March of 1964. Still cannot stand drunks.

Same for my husband. He went to the AF recruiting office in Los Angeles and tried to sign up after graduation but he was shy a few days of his 18th birthday - had to take the papers home for his mother to sign. He told the recruiter, “Get me as far away from L. A., as you can.” HA! After basic in TX and school in MS, they said, “is Iceland far enough?” Well, they really didn’t say that but that’s the way it went!
