What is more dangerous, your critter or the renowned Rodan?
“He tells the men that the UFO seen flying all across the world at supersonic speeds is a gigantic pterosaur he has dubbed Rodan.” https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rodan_(film)
Flying around with the windows down?
I hope no one was injured.
What a mess.
. Luckily, the bird entered the flight deck through a lower window, close to the pilot’s left leg. The pilot was uninjured but you can see that his legs are covered in remains. This is a not uncommon event for low flying military aircraft and one of the main reasons why helmets with visors are worn by fast jet pilots:

More likely it went through the windshield butt first.
Thanks for the link.
“Thaw the bird.”
(Ten points for anyone who gets that statement)
Oh, MAN! And it was a Bald Eagle!
Back in the 70’s a TA-4 on a low level IFR training flight, 500ft AGL, 350kts. They had a buzzard come through the windscreen. Student is in the backseat, the ‘Bag’ over his head.
He hears ‘an explosion’ and blood & guts (from the buzzard) come around the front seat back. Student thinks, “Explosion! Instructor is dead! 350kts, 500 ft AGL and I’m under the ‘Bag’!”
Student ejects.
Instructor is in the front seat, dead buzzard in his lap, mouth full of feathers and 350 kts of wind buffeting him. Hears the student eject, thinks, “He knows something I don’t know! 350kts, 500ft AGL!” and the Instructor ejects.
Accident Board hears both stories as to why they ejected from a still flyable aircraft and decides, “Yep, I probably would have done the same.”
An exceptionally large male of race B. c. maxima, which rarely exceed 8 kg (18 lb), weighed 10.9 kg (24 lb) and had a wingspan of 2.24 m (7.3 ft).

A weather balloon.
Nothing to see here. Move on.
Ouch.
Nice dent!
Lots of bondo needed, lots.
Just a new Ray dome!
A bird did that? Yeah right.
Yep a bird did that.. Boeing was firing chickens at their flight deck and one went right through the skin and into the C/B panel thus they had to strengthen the surface by the windshield..
The planes on 9/11 must have been made with a different alloy, they went right through the buildings.
That’s one tough bird.
it doesn’t look like much but it will get you where you need to go.
That reminds me of a story I read. They were doing a bird test on a plane, to check for the plane’s resiliency. They loaded the chicken into the cannon. When it was fired in to the cockpit, the bird not only went through the windshield like it was nothing, but it also left a deep dent in the cockpit door. The maintenance crew was very concerned about this and immediately phoned Transportation about their concerns. The department came down and did all sorts of tests and confirmations and wrote a response about their conclusions.
They recommended thawing the bird first before conducting any tests.
Doh!
The nose is nonmetallic, the airframe is tougher stuff.
So is most of a 787.
