If you find the bigger pic, you’ll see half a face peeking out from behind some shelving. I was Doctor Mysterioso! What a fun band that was! The gal, Methyl Ethyl, is well-known actress Amy Madigan. Streets of Fire, etc.

Me too! Like Nesmith
Suzy Creamcheese?
Bongo Fury album was remarkable.
Sam was a showing scalp flat top. Particular about the point it made.
"Is that a real poncho or is that a Sears poncho?"
"Zircon encrusted tweezers..."
"Gonna be a dental floss tycoon..."
"You're Jewish? Love your nails..."
As I said...mildly amused.
I think he would have been a Trumper.
Listening to the "Hot Rats" album as I type this. One of his many masterpieces.
I seriously doubt that. He hated Republicans more than Democrats, although I never really could figure out why.
Ironically, when he was on Crossfire, he argued more with the Liberal, Tom Braden, and he got along much better with the Conservative, Robert Novak.
Here’s a link to the uncropped pic. I’m on the right. Guess I was too fugly to include!

Oh! I see the full pic now. Me on the right!
What’s there to live for?
Who needs the peace corps?
Think I’ll just DROP OUT
I’ll go to Frisco
Buy a wig & sleep
On Owsley’s floor
Walked past the wig store
Danced at the Fillmore
I’m completely stoned
I’m hippy & I’m trippy
I’m a gypsy on my own
I’ll stay a week & get the crabs &
Take a bus back home
I’m really just a phony
But forgive me
‘Cause I’m stoned
Every town must have a place
Where phony hippies meet
Psychedelic dungeons
Popping up on every street
GO TO SAN FRANCISCO . . .
How I love ya, How I love ya
How I love ya, How I love ya Frisco!
How I love ya, How I love ya
How I love ya, How I love ya
Oh, my hair is getting good in the back!
“he had some conservative leanings”
Very much so!
Frank was a contrarian.
As am I
What about "Moon Unit"?
Yep, and yet who headed the PMRC? Tipper Gore.
And Frank was worshipped behind the Iron Curtain.
There was a dissident Czech band called “The Plastic People of the Universe” (named after the Mothers’ ‘Plastic People’). And he became close friends with Vaclev Havel.
And they put up a statue of Frank in Vilnius, Lithuania.
Saw Jefferson Airplane in ‘69 at the old Iowa Fieldhouse (basketball court) in Iowa City.
I noticed, too late, my tickets were second row, center.
Hearing loss ever since...
