Nearly 200 report fireball streaking across Northeast sky

The American Meteor Society says the flash of light that was spotted on Wednesday afternoon in New Jersey, Pennsylvania, New York, Massachusetts, Connecticut, Rhode Island, New Hampshire, Maryland and Delaware was a fireball.

Had one of those streak over my place some 20 odd years ago. Loud roaring sound and very bright burning ball. Appeared to be the size of a basketball flying overhead.

Some 30 years ago I was driving in the middle of the night in the middle on nowhere in New Mexico, and saw a bright greenish fireball streak across the sky, about as bright as the Moon.
I'll likely never see a better one.
