Thank you for posting this.
:) Thanks for checking it out. I found it last night as I was listening to music. I was gonna be very embarrassed if not one soul posted. :)
Self PING
Ok, I’m having a hard time today. I downloaded Taking Chance (after General Kelly recommended it) the tears started at the very beginning and rarely stopped through the entire movie. Now this.
You are ALWAYS grateful for the sacrifice these heros make, but you are not always aware of the pain those who love them go through. This is a day you get a glimpse inside. The courage and sacrifice is breathtaking.
Sorry. Must be something in the stars. Sometimes it’s good to get the tears flowing, though. I’m not familiar with Taking Chance.
I’m volunteering at Walter Reed tomorrow, of coarse I’m gonna appreciate your post! Been there on and off since the Iraqi war. I respect and love those people with all my heart.
I can’t listen to Toby Keith’s American Soldier without sobbing.
What I appreciate the most about your post is I got to listen to songs honoring our soldiers that I didn’t know about. Thank you much!!!
Wonderful that you volunteer and have done it for so long.
Go watch it if you can. It’s a movie every American should see. It is about taking a young Marine, killed in Iraq, home to be buried. It goes through the entire procedure, from packing them in ice and sending them to Dover, where they are meticulously cared for, the ritual, the love and respect that is shown to these men and women and how Americans react along the way,
Documentary?
Reinactment of a true story. Yesterday General Kelly said Chance was one of his Marines.
